Best New Linux Product
on March 28, 2001
Linux Journal Editor in Chief Richard Vernon called Galleo's box the best new Linux product at CeBIT. It's powered by a 206MHz StrongARM CPU and has 32MB of RAM and 16MB of Flash. Vernon reports that Galleo is rolling its own Linux distribution for the project, and that the company needs only a little better wireless bandwidth or a little better video compression in order to add video conferencing capabilities to the device.
