The contest rules are as follows. Contestants should create a new spamtrap e-mail address and attempt to acquire as many spam e-mail messages as possible in one week (7 days). The address may be publicized in any manner except for subscribing or opting-in to mailing lists. Contestants should submit how many spam messages they received, what they did with the messages and how they publicized the address. The Linux Journal staff will choose one grand-prize winner, who will receive a Lego Mindstorm Robotics Invention System.
